2,081 Filled Backpacks & 160 Sacks of Supplies Distributed in 2009
On August 11, 2009 we completed distributing 2,081 filled backpacks to those who signed up
in July and another 160 sacks of supplies were given to those who were unable to
signup in July. Over 200 volunteers worked during over a 4-day span to perform
the backpack filling and distribution. To all of our volunteers, THANK YOU so
very much. The children and parents who benefited from your hard work were extremely
grateful for the gift of love that you provided. The WCSSD for 2009 would not have
been possible without your help.

WCSSD Achieves Separate 501(c)(3) Status
Formerly an Affiliate of the BCF
In September, 2009, the Washington County School Supply Drive was
recognized by the IRS as a separate 501(c)(3) organization. As such,
the WCSSD is now a tax-exempt organization and operates as an
organization apart and separate from the Bartlesville Community Foundation. We
appreciate all the assistance the BCF provided as we transitioned to our
current status.
