The 2009 Drive is Underway
This year's drive will culminate on Pickup Day: August 10, 2009 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Right now, we need folks to roll up their sleeves and open their wallets. Please chip in what you can to help the kids.

What Supplies Do We Need?
You can drop off new school supplies at St. Luke's Episcopal Church now and, during July, at all Arvest and 66 Federal Credit Union locations. Here's what we really need:
  • PENCILS
  • 1" 3-Ring Binders
  • Wide Rule Notebook Paper
  • Glue (Elmer's)
  • Glue sticks
  • Washable Markers
  • Watercolors
  • Scissors - Student & Adult sizes
  • Crayons (all sizes)
  • Colored Pencils (12 ct.)
  • Covered Pencil Sharpeners
  • Dry Erase Markers & Erasers
  • Kleenex
  • Flexible 1" 3-Ring Binders
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Red Pencils
  • Mechanical Pencils
  • Ziploc bags (all sizes)
  • Backpacks
A Dollar Goes a Long Way
ConocoPhillips Raffle - July
During July, the Financial Shared Services division at ConocoPhillips will be selling raffle tickets to win some great prizes. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. COP employees and contractors may purchase tickets from several folks downtown and at the BTC. Details are available via the B-Stream newsletter and B-TV.

What We're About
Mission Statement
The Washington County School Supply Drive is a charitable organization helping area students in Headstart through 12th grade and teachers by providing school supplies to those students in need of assistance due to financial difficulties thus helping to make school a better experience for both teachers and students.

Grab a Bite to Help the WCSSD
McAlister's: June 15 - Sept. 15
McAlister's will contribute all donations placed in their "tip jar" between June 15 and Sept. 15 to the WCSSD.

Mazzio's: July 16 5:00-Close
Just come enjoy some great pizza at Mazzio's, give your receipt to the WCSSD rep and a portion of the proceeds goes to the WCSSD.

Tallgrass Estates: July 21 5:30 - 6:30
Come enjoy a wonderful spaghetti dinner at Tallgrass Estates starting at 5:30 pm. For $5 per person, it's a great deal and the proceeds will go to the WCSSD.

Rib Crib: July 25 ALL DAY
Relax with some hearty bar-b-que at Rib Crib. When you're done, make sure you tell the waitstaff to include your meal in the WCSSD promotion.

Wal-Mart Administration
School Supplies Collection - July
During July, the Wal-Mart Administration folks will be collecting school supplies from their employees. We hear there may be some friendly competition going on with the students being the final winners.
